Light and Mud is a Mexican American art company led by yours truly, Sofía Rosales Juárez—an educator, artist, writer and art therapist.
My long-term mission is to empower the Mexican immigrant community—especially women—to heal generational, cultural and violent trauma and learn to love and accept themselves. We do this through art, storytelling and reconnecting with our bodies.
I create arts-based healing circles through my program, Desahógate. I also take professional photographs and sell my ceramics.
